Nine Energy Service Scorpion Animation

Client: Indigo Studios
Objective: Create a 10 second teaser for Nine Energy Service showcasing their scorpion plug
Responsibilities: Rigging, character animation, lighting
Software: 3ds Max, V-Ray, After Effects

Process: The scorpion model was rigged traditionally and hand-animated. The claw was detached from the rig to animate it close to the camera without pulling the rest of the model, keeping it in place.
